IDDS AMAZON— Pará, Brazil July 4 – July 17, 2016

IDDS AMAZON is a two-week permaculture-themed summit that will bring together 40 participants from all over the world and with different backgrounds to co-create innovative solutions with local community members of fishing and farming communities along the river banks of the Amazon River in northern Brazil.

IDDS AMAZON is part of a series of summits supported by the International Development Innovation Network (IDIN). This summit’s goal is to, through social innovation, foster low-cost technologies, ecological systems and enterprises that improve the livelihoods of people living in poverty, in harmony with nature and aware of the interdependency between organisms, human and the environment, based on permaculture principles.
